Overview
Navitus Health Solutions is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our team. The Analytics Engineer supports customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision, delivering innovative ideas, solutions and services to simplify people's lives. This role defines and grows a data-centric architecture and is responsible for implementing data ingestion, validation, and transformation pipelines. It designs and maintains batch and streaming integrations across data domains and platforms, and designs streaming capabilities for internal and external data movement to support client needs. The role aligns data structures, designs, and capabilities with organizational needs and strategic direction. The ideal candidate has experience in Domain-Driven Development and event-driven architecture with real-time data transformations and enjoys partnering with business stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights that drive decision-making. This is a hybrid position located in our Madison office.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to design and develop data ingest, validation, and transform pipelines
- Lead design, development and implementation on a project-by-project basis to deliver maintainable and scalable solutions
- Participate in data strategy and road map planning, data architecture definitions, centralized data platform design, and implementation
- Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a data catalog
- Diagnose and troubleshoot data issues, recognizing common data integration and transformation patterns
- Maintain enterprise metadata for reporting and re-use
- Define and maintain standards for data object naming and other data administration standards
- Design and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including versioning and governance
- Utilize technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL, Informatica, Automic, .NET Core, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Confluent / Kafka, API, and Qlik Replicate (CDC)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems or software engineering, and / or 5+ years of professional experienceStrong understanding of coding methods and best practicesExperience collaborating with business teams to analyze requirements and develop technical specificationsExperience designing complex data flows with end-to-end automationExperience with streaming platforms such as KafkaExperience developing test cases and test plansUnderstanding of Software Development Life CycleExperience with relational databasesExperience with unit and integration testingKnowledge of distributed data processing and storageExperience with structured, unstructured, and semi-structured dataKnowledge of API frameworksKnowledge of healthcare industry practices, HIPAA, and data privacy practices preferredExperience developing data exchange pipelines using HL7 FHIR, SOA, XML / JSON, and REST API is a plusExperience with NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) is desirableExperience in developing Business Intelligence solutionsProficiency in building scalable analytics using AWS services, with emphasis on automation and performance optimization; experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Fundamental knowledge of AI and Data Science principlesCommitment to compliance program objectivesAbility to interact cooperatively and respectfully with othersWhat can you expect from Navitus?
