General Purpose

Supplies labor for the transport of fish and various maintenance activities associated with generation support facilities, including parks and recreation facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operates a fish transport truck.
• Performs general power plant, waterway, and substation maintenance work.
• Operates and drives all equipment, not classified as heavy equipment at the Hydro Plants. Operates a tugboat for the purpose of removing log debris on the reservoirs, and positioning log booms and bouys.
• Operates loaders of yard capacity or less.
• As a state certified applicator, applies herbicides and pesticides.
• Performs non-licensed electrical work such as replacement of light switches and heater elements.
• Uses chain saw for tree removal.
• Assists Hydro Mechanics in unit repairs, to include overhauls, large and small maintenance, and crane inspections
• Works as a Hydro Utility Worker when not operating a fish transport truck.
