Google Cloud Network Engineer

Job Title : Cloud Engineer (AWS & Azure) Department : IT Infrastructure / Cloud Operations Location : [Specify : On-site / Hybrid / Remote] Employment Type : Full-Time Reports To : Cloud Architecture Lead / Head of IT Infrastructure Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Deployment

Design, deploy, and manage multi-cloud environments (AWS & Azure) ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Build and maintain hybrid and multi-cloud architectures supporting application workloads and data flows between AWS and Azure.

Infrastructure Automation

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Bicep , or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates .

Integrate cloud deployments with CI / CD pipelines for automated provisioning and configuration.

Security & Compliance

Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 .

Implement best practices for Identity and Access Management (IAM) , encryption, and secure networking.

Monitoring & Incident Management

Collaborate with Cybersecurity Analysts to detect, respond to, and mitigate cloud security threats.

Use AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, AWS Config, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud for logging, monitoring, and alerting.

Performance Optimization

Optimize cloud resource usage and reduce operational costs through right-sizing, automation, and reserved instance strategies.

Manage and optimize cloud-native services such as :

AWS : EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda

Azure : App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Functions, AKS

Resilience & Availability

Design and implement high availability (HA) , disaster recovery (DR) , and auto-scaling solutions across both AWS and Azure.

Maintain cloud backup policies and business continuity plans.

Documentation & Governance

Create and maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, procedures, and best practices.

Manage multi-account / multi-subscription environments and enforce governance through landing zone frameworks.

Required Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Computing , or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

Experience :

3+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering or Cloud Architecture roles.

Proven experience managing both AWS and Azure environments.

Strong background in DevSecOps , automation , and cloud infrastructure management .
