About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Network Engineer to architect, implement, and optimize mission-critical network infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role, you will lead high-impact cloud networking initiatives, support enterprise connectivity across distributed systems, and ensure secure, scalable integration across cloud and on-premise environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, cross-functional projects within a flexible setting.

What You'll Do Cloud Network Architecture & Engineering

Design and implement advanced GCP networking solutions including :

VPCs, Shared VPC, Subnets

Cloud Router, Cloud NAT

Load Balancers (Internal / External / Global)

VPC Peering, Private Service Connect, VPN, and Interconnect

Architect secure, scalable network connectivity between GCP, on-prem systems, and external SaaS applications.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

Lead cloud networking best practices across engineering teams.

Provide mentorship on network design, optimization, and cloud architecture.

Conduct design reviews, code reviews (for IaC / automation scripts), and enforce engineering standards.

Network Integration & Problem Solving

Integrate cloud networking for distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.

Lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and multi-team problem resolution.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (security, cloud engineering, application teams).

Security & Compliance

Apply deep knowledge of cloud security fundamentals :

IAM, firewall rules, service accounts, network security policies

Zero-trust networking and secure connectivity patterns

Ensure networking compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

Automation & Cloud Operations

Build and maintain network automation using Terraform, YAML, or Google Deployment Manager.

Develop monitoring and observability strategies using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and alerting.

Support disaster recovery, failover design, and high availability architectures.

What You Bring Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or network engineering.

Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud networking components .

Strong experience with distributed systems, API integrations, and cloud-native networking.

Proficiency with Docker or containerized environments.

Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful communication.

Experience integrating cloud networks with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Kubernetes networking (GKE, service mesh, ingress).

Familiarity with relational databases and network connectivity for data platforms.

Experience with CI / CD methodologies and automation pipelines.

Exposure to Java, Python, or similar languages (for automation / scripts).

Experience with real-time messaging or streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).

Background supporting integrations with enterprise ERP or financial systems.
