Join One of Central Floridas Leading Community-Based Health Systems UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our well-established, high-performing cardiothoracic surgery team in Leesburg, Florida. This is a full-time, employed position with a reputable non-academic community hospital and part of the UF Health system. Position Highlights Position Type : Full-time, employed by UF Health Central Florida Setting : Community-based hospital (non-academic) Location : Hospital : UF Health Leesburg Hospital - 600 E Dixie Ave, Leesburg, FL Practice Site : 705 Doctors Ct, Leesburg, FL 34748 Team Structure : 2 Cardiovascular Surgeons 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Clinical Scope : Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Typically 1 outpatient clinic day per week for post-op and new patients Inpatient support from APPs, critical care, and anesthesia Hospital includes 351 beds and 3 CVORs Call : Shared call schedule with APP support; must be able to respond within 30 minutes while on call Candidate Requirements MD or DO, Board-Certified / Board-Eligible in Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Surgery New graduates welcome to apply Must meet hospital bylaws for call response time No leadership or faculty responsibilities required Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary aligned with MGMA benchmarks RVU-based productivity model Sign-on bonus - negotiable Relocation assistance - negotiable Student loan repayment options - PSLF eligible License and DEA fee reimbursement Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance 8.75 weeks of PTO (includes vacation, holidays, and sick days) Malpractice insurance CME time and allowance Retirement plan options available Why UF Health Central Florida?
