(Day shift) RN

Registered Nurse) / LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

JOB SUMMARY

: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of residents within the skilled nursing setting. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the residents between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nurses (as applicable to scope of practice) and supportive staff members. Participates in resident and family teaching. Maintains role as resident advocate with a focus on the facility's mission.

Qualifications

Current RN or LPN license required

Proficient in patient care and assessment

Experience with catheterization and IV insertion

Knowledge of EHR systems, including Epic and Cerner

Familiarity with long-term care and assisted living environments

Basic life support certification

Strong understanding of physiology and tube feeding techniques

Relevant experience in critical care or travel nursing is a plus
