Role location : Hybrid (three days in-office, two days virtual) at our Jacksonville, Brown Deer, or St. Petersburg locations.
About the role : The IT Auditor Senior is an experienced auditor proficient in the day-to-day tasks of executing an audit and has experience in the "lead" role of executing an engagement and supervising junior staff.
The responsibilities include :
- Leading or supporting audit teams during technology, operational, and / or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits from beginning to end of the audit engagement.
- Assessing engagement level technology-based risks and evaluating and validating key technology controls.
- Developing audit work programs and documenting workpapers and other audit materials that meet all relevant professional practice and FIS Internal Audit methodology requirements leveraging leading technology audit practices as necessary.
- Observing, understanding and documenting detailed IT process narratives and / or process flow charts, including the identification of IT process risks and key controls. Documentation of walkthroughs testing the design of controls are required in addition to narratives for all audit projects.
- Conducting initial review of staff auditor workpapers to ensure consistency with audit methodology and quality standards.
- Formulating logical and supportable conclusions.
- Identifying and communicating audit observations encountered and offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk.
- Communicating the impact of identified observations to not only the technology area audited but also broader business impact.
- Preparing well-written and meaningful reports summarizing audit results.
- Proactively managing audit finding tracking and documentation of status updates obtained via management action owners, and timely execution of remediation testing.
- Leading or supporting special technology-based projects in addition to traditional audit projects, where requested.
- Demonstrating strong organizational skills which allow for an effective and efficient work environment.
- Developing and fostering professional relationships within the Internal Audit team as well as across the business and IT functions.
- Establishing trust and credibility with key stakeholders.
- Leading, teaching, and mentoring audit staff not only on assigned audit projects but also through their career progression.
- Contributing to a high-performance environment.
- Staying connected and up to date on key technology audit methodologies.
What you will need :
Earned a bachelor's degree in either technology, information systems, business intelligence, accounting, finance, or other related discipline.Hold one or more professional certifications (e.g. CIA, CISA, CFE, CISM, CISSP), or the desire and determination to pursue such.Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a Fortune 500 or professional services firm.Although financial services and / or technology industry experience is highly desired, other industry experience will be considered as appropriate. Experience in highly regulated environments is a plus; Professional services experience acquired from a Big 4 environment or highly regarded consulting firm is desired;Ability and willingness to travel (~20-30%, depending on location and project)Excellent communication skills (oral and written)Demonstrate high integrity, credibility, and trustworthinessSolid understanding of the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) standards along with other technology audit frameworksPositive and professional demeanorTeam playerDesire to learn and ability to overcome challenges and adapt to a fast-paced environmentProactive and high-quality execution focusSound decision making skills and judgmentStrong interest in understanding emerging technologies and their impact on the businessWhat we offer you :
