Manager, Patient Access
The Manager, Patient Access provides strategic direction and operational leadership for registration. Identifies, develops, and supports customer service, quality, safety, and financial metrics / initiatives. Collaborates with the leadership team in developing department / division initiatives that focus on employee engagement, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Works closely with the senior director in the development of growth strategies, achievement of targets, and outcome improvement.
Key Accountabilities :
- Effectively manages team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
- Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
- Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
- Manages hospital registration departments to ensure processes and services meet the requirements of our customers for quality, service, and cost.
- Is responsible for the direction and management of registration processes for ThedaCare's hospitals.
- Collaborates and serves with operational leaders on interdisciplinary committees and teams to promote communication and change management, improve existing processes, identify opportunities to enhance reimbursement, and ensure a positive experience for our customers.
- Develops, implements, and maintains standard operating procedures with a focus on customer satisfaction and patient experience to secure complete and accurate data to facilitate timely and accurate registration and financial clearance for patient encounters thereby ensuring accurate and prompt payment of services by patients and third party payers.
- Leads development of enterprise registration processes to support all stakeholders.
- Maximizes the use of technology to continually improve team member productivity and accuracy to support positive patient experience and system strategies.
- Prepares regular and ad hoc reports related to revenue cycle initiatives and mandates.
- Provides feedback to managers / supervisors to maximize performance of the revenue cycle. Keeps policies and procedures current, educates team members on industry changes, and implements standards that improve patient flow and enhance revenue protection and capture.

Bachelor's degreeFive years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare settingThree years of leadership experience to include leading teams and / or projectsPhysical Demands :
