American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU night shift position requiring a current CA license, recent CVICU and travel experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital settingNight shifts : 3x12 hours per week, 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Care for critically ill cardiovascular patients using advanced monitoring and life support equipmentAll units use Epic for electronic medical recordsRequired to float within the organization to similar or lower acuity units (excluding ED) and occasionally to other hospitals in the system with 2 hours notice before shiftMinimum of four weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one winter holiday, including the holiday weekendMust be positive and upbeat as valued team attributesFloating may include other hospital locations within the health systemNot eligible if local within a 100-mile radius or on assignment in San Diego for 9 months or moreOne supervisory-level reference is required for considerationCandidates may only submit to one job in the health system at a timeReturned staff must wait 1 year before returning to the systemMay extend contract for a maximum of 1 year, after which a 1-year break is required before returningInternational travelers must have at least 1 year of recent / current U.S. experience\n \n Requirements\n
Active CA RN license (permanent or temporary, no EMSA) in hand at time of considerationAHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of CVICU experience, with at least one year of recent CVICU workAt least 1 year of total travel RN experience, including 6+ months of continuous recent travel RN experience without significant gaps1.5+ years of continuous specialty experience at similar patient ratiosRecent Epic or combined Epic / Cerner EMR experience in the last 6 monthsMaximum 7 days of requested time off\n Benefits\n
