OVERVIEW :

The Configuration & Maintenance Support Technician will provide technical, administrative, and analytical support for configuration management, maintenance standards, and engineering change processes. This role ensures accurate configuration data, effective maintenance planning, and successful implementation of Engineering Changes and Time Compliance Technical Orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage configuration data, including creating, updating, and analyzing Configuration Item Functional Descriptions (CIFDs) and Configuration Management (CM) Sets. Make recommendations for new CIFDs as required.
  • Develop and maintain Maintenance Standards (MS) and associated Maintenance Items (MIs), ensuring updates, deactivations, and recurring task management.
  • Build and update cutter configurations in Fleet Logistics Systems (FLS), linking maintenance and material requirements.
  • Provide technical writing and documentation support, including ECs, TCTOs, maintenance procedures, reports, and briefings.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and teleconferences; prepare agendas, minutes, and action items.
  • Conduct data analysis, summarize findings, and deliver technical recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support logistical and technical requirements for EC / TCTO development and implementation, including prototype evaluation and project coordination.
  • Collaborate with SFLC, C5I Service Center, TISCOM, and fleet units to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Review maintenance standards, drawings, and practices; provide technical input to evaluation teams including preventative and corrective maintenance practices.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Experience in configuration management, logistics, or maintenance engineering.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with FLS, CG-LIMS, and related logistics / technical systems preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, develop recommendations, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and facilitation skills.
