Job Title : RN Supervisor - LTC Management

Job Specialty : Long-Term Care Management

Job Duration : 15 weeks

Shift : 8-hour Day Shift, 10 : 45 p.m. - 7 : 00 a.m., Every Other Weekend

Guaranteed Hours : 38 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 1 year

License : Required

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have :

Prior experience with PCC (PointClickCare)
Experience measuring wounds

Job Description :

Serve as the building supervisor overseeing RN's, LPN's, and CNA's during evenings, nights, and weekends

Monitor changes in condition, resident issues, and schedule outside services such as lab work and portable x-ray

Contact MD / NP for resident needs / issues

Perform central line care, chest tube care / management, IV starts, admission orders, and fall assessments

Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, including PT, OT, SLP, Case Managers, Social Workers, and Dieticians

No responsibility for reading telemetry strips

May participate in care plan meetings, particularly for Short Term Stay residents

Handle residents with common diagnoses such as long-term care, skilled and rehab patients, and dementia patients 18 years or older

Oversee on-site pharmacy operations during normal business hours and manage the emergency drug closet

Ensure nurses adhere to a professional dress code

Utilize PCC / POC for charting

Participate in a 3-day department-specific orientation

Note : The RN Supervisor is not assigned to direct resident care tasks and serves as a resource for other staff throughout the shift.
