American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring a WA or compact RN license and recent telemetry experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital environment on a Medical / Surgical Telemetry Float Pool unitPatient population includes post-surgical (general, ortho, uro, gyn) and telemetry casesUnit consists of 32 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 4-6All beds are telemetry capable and RNs are required to read and validate stripsCommon titratable drips include heparin, blood, and IV fluids12-hour shifts available, 7 : 00—19 : 30 or 19 : 00—7 : 30; night shift assignment with every other weekend required as per unit needsFloating within scope to similar units may be requiredUses Epic EMR systemNo on-call or standby requirementRNs will be responsible for providing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including titrating IV drips and interpreting cardiac rhythmsMonitor techs are off-site and RNs are responsible for ECG strip interpretationSupport includes a charge RN, house supervisor, and nurse aides (1 : 8-16 ratio)Must be available for holiday coverage as required by the departmentNavy-colored scrubs are requiredUnit / department-specific orientation is provided during first 1-2 shifts\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses are not acceptedCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum of 1 year of recent RN experience, including telemetry experienceAbility to titrate drips and read / validate cardiac monitor stripsTwo references required : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a supervisor or peer within the last 3 yearsCopy of driver’s license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
