Description
The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is hiring a pediatric neurologist to specialize in neuro-oncology in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children's Hospital. The Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children's Hospital has approximately 30 faculty, including nine epileptologists and multiple subspecialty programs. This position will be expected to provide excellent clinical care in general pediatric neurology and pediatric neuro-oncology and will require active participation in clinical and teaching programs. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This is a full-time appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor WOT (without tenure by reason of funding). Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This position will require active participation in clinical and teaching programs.

The base salary range for this position in this title will be $18,731 - $19,042 per month ($224,772 to $228,504 per year), commensurate with experience, discipline, and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Our salaries are bench marked based on the AAMC scale. Other compensation associated with this position may or may not include Startup, Relocation Incentive / Moving Allowance Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role, or Productivity Incentive.
Title, rank and salary is commensurate with experience. The anticipated start date of this appointment is July 1, 2026.
Qualifications
Requirements include an M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent. Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Washington, and be either board eligible or board certified in a related field.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
