Veterinary Technician Mahomet Animal Hospital (Mahomet, IL)
Mahomet Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated and friendly team. We are a community-focused practice that prides itself on providing high-quality medical care and building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.
About the Role : As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the highest level of patient care. Responsibilities include :
- Assisting with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Administering medications, vaccinations, and anesthesia undera doctor's supervision
- Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
- Performing laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
- Providing surgical preparation, monitoring, and recovery care
- Performing dental prophylaxis and radiographs
- Educating clients on pet health, nutrition, and post-operative care
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment
