Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 30 - 08 : 00); requires every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment and have a crucial role in managing patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide support during C-sections.
  • Manage and monitor labor and delivery care for patients.
  • Provide postpartum care for patients with cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
  • Administer medications including IV therapy and pain management options.
  • Implement isolation precautions and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Perform assessments using external fetal heart monitoring (EFM).

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery required; first-time travelers not accepted.
  • Must possess a valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • Certifications required : BLS, STABLE, NRP.
  • Preferred experience includes charge nurse capability, community hospital experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Preferred skills : IV therapy, phlebotomy, administration of blood products.
