Deputy Sheriff

The Deputy Sheriff position performs protective service work in providing courtroom security within the Circuit and lower courts as assigned; petit jury orientation; assisting with grand juries; mental patient transportation; transportation of inmates to and from court; extradition of inmates from other states for a court appearance; academy instructor services; and service of civil process papers. Does related work as required. Primarily and most frequently the work done here is under general supervision, with more complicated tasks requiring advanced applications under direct supervision.

The preferred hiring amount is between $25.00 - $39.30 an Hour ($52,000.00 - $81,744.00 Annually). Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity.
