About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Health Actuarial Solutions. This pivotal role is dedicated to driving the financial success of the organization's health reinsurance solutions through a combination of technical actuarial analysis, client collaboration, and business development support. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of pricing models, risk analyses, and financial projections to support health reinsurance opportunities. Additionally, the role involves partnering with clients and internal teams to design and implement reinsurance structures that align with performance goals and risk profiles, as well as overseeing and mentoring actuarial associates.

Key responsibilities for the Associate Vice President include building and maintaining pricing tools and models, underwriting and assessing risk for various health segments, and collaborating across teams to ensure the accuracy and consistency of pricing and evaluation processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field, an FSA credential, and at least 6 years of experience in an actuarial role, with a strong background in health product knowledge, particularly in value-based care and accountable care organizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required, with a preference for candidates with programming experience in R, VBA, SQL, or similar tools, and familiarity with actuarial modeling platforms. The role demands a professional with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, who is highly action-oriented and adept at managing complexity and competing priorities.
