ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Urbana, Illinois (61801) – Illinois healthcare jobs Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Registered Nurse Unit : Emergency Department (ED) Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 21, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Shift : Night MIDS – 1 : 00 PM to 1 : 30 AM (12-hour shifts) Call : 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period (13-hour call shifts; must be onsite within 1 hour if called in) Night Rotation : 2-week nights rotation required for all travel nurses Estimated Weekly Pay : $1980 - $2030 ER RN Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in an emergency department or acute care setting Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) required Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency room environment Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers, patients, and families Implement and adjust nursing interventions based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care and patient progress Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital protocols and promptly addressing safety concerns Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and families to foster a positive healthcare environment Provide feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development and emergency nursing education Fulfill all departmental competencies and stay current with best practices in emergency room nursing Apply now to join our healthcare team in Urbana, Illinois, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
