Job Title : Permanent Physician - Psychiatry
Join a dynamic Psychiatry team in Muskegon, Michigan, where you ll provide comprehensive care in a dedicated behavioral health unit. This full-time position (1.0 FTE) offers a collaborative and supportive work environment, with opportunities for teaching and professional growth. Job Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients.
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose conditions, and manage treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in collaboration with the care team.
- Participate in daily clinical rounds and patient-centered care discussions.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Work a consistent Monday Friday schedule from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
- Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1 : 4 schedule.
- Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Pursue additional interests such as research, outpatient care, or leadership roles.
- Open to experienced Board Certified providers or Board Eligible recent graduates.
Qualifications :
Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within 2 years) required.Valid Michigan medical license at time of employment.DEA license required.BLS Certification and maintain recertification required.License and Certification Requirements :
