Recently, the PAC-3 was honored as the 2025 "Coolest Thing Made in Alabama : in the statewide Manufacturing Madness competition.Position Responsibilities : Manages, develops and motivates employeesCollaborates and fosters relationships with customers, stakeholders and direct reportsManages and integrates employees' activities across multiple areas of materials managementProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesDevelops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goalsImplements and maintain process improvements by analyzing and establishing best practices for materials management to improve SCM performanceWorks under general supervision, reporting directly to SCM Senior ManagementBasic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) : 10+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment5+ years' experience in supporting Operations, Materials Management and / or Supply Chain functions in a production environment5+ years' experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP systemExperience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completionExperience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) : Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Operations Management or BusinessExperience with SQLAdvanced knowledge of supply chain strategies (inventory reduction, parts kitting, supplier consolidation, optimum flow, lead-time reduction)Ability to apply principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance (inter-relationships between components of systems and plans)Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationCertified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)Lean Six Sigma Black BeltStrong operational experience with major ERPs and analytics; (SAP, ERP, APS, MES, WMS)Shift : This position is for 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.Travel : Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.Drug Free Workplace : Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .
