Overview

This role is for a Temp Assistant Designer with a luxury fashion client. The position is for around 3-4 months, full-time hours.

Base pay range : $24.50 / hr - $26.50 / hr. This range is provided by Fourth Floor. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities / Creative Scope

Execute technical specifications for hardware development

Review vendor technical specs and provide clear, concise feedback

Provide CAD support through Illustrator and Rhino renderings based on conceptual direction

Troubleshoot and provide technical guidance to the hardware Design Team

Meet with hardware and trim suppliers and present cards to Design when necessary

Organize file saving processes for designs for easy reference of materials like specs, vendor technical designs and 3D files

Organize developments within PowerPoint for collaborative team communication

Ensure all hardware milestones are tracked and deadlines are met

Assist in communication between PD and design for hardware

Partner closely with the Design & Product Development teams

Build relationships with local casters and local sample room for projects with sharp lead-times

Qualifications

BA / BS / BFA degree or equivalent life experience

Minimum 1-2 years in Technical Design Engineering or Accessories Hardware Design

Experience with PLM (Centric) or other Product Management system

Strong design aesthetic and taste level

Strong organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Strong math and collaborative skills

Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment
