Digital Healthcare Consultant

A Day in the Life

As a Digital Healthcare Consultant, you are responsible for the technical consultation and operational deployment of the new programming device and remote solutions from Medtronic in hospitals and cardiology practices. Remote solutions refer to the Medtronic SmartSync Device Manager (Medtronic's new tablet-based solution for querying and programming Medtronic cardiac implants) and Medtronic's remote patient management solutions (platforms and services such as Medtronic CareLink, CareLink Express, and LINQ Mobile Manager). This position covers the region of Central and Eastern Germany (ideally residing between Leipzig - Gttingen) and is therefore a remote position. Remote means that your home address is considered the primary workplace (home office). For meetings, your presence in the Medtronic office in Meerbusch may be required from time to time. For this position, there is a facility-related vaccination requirement. Therefore, a complete measles vaccination is a prerequisite for filling the open position.

Responsibilities include, as follows :

  • Contacting and building the relationship with the IT stakeholders (target customers) in the hospitals, understanding their needs and priorities, clarifying and overcoming all technical problems and creating a plan for the technical implementation with the local outside sales team
  • Working with the local outside sales team to identify new business opportunities
  • Implementing remote solutions (hardware, software, connectivity, and integration into the customer's workflow) at the customer's location
  • Identifying implementation obstacles, proposing hardware / software workarounds, implementing customized solutions at the customer's location
  • Validating the installed solutions : connectivity test, print test, data sharing test, etc.
  • Customer consulting on product-specific topics product features, workflow optimization, data integration. Data privacy and cyber security
  • Conducting product training and device briefings
  • Connecting and building partnerships with : local country outside sales teams and with the Western European patient management organization and the Western European IT deployment team

Required knowledge and experience :

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in IT or similar education
  • Experience in technical implementation or technical support, ideally with experience in the healthcare / hospital environment
  • High level of self-management
  • Experience in IT / Med Tech support
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, security, and data privacy requirements in a regulated environment
  • Proven experience in providing or supporting IT infrastructures
  • Fluent language skills in German and English
  • A valid driver's license Class B, paired with approx. 80% travel readiness
