Court Case Management Generalist
Our courthouse located in Ajo, AZ is seeking a full-time Court Case Management Generalist who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to contribute to the legal system. This role requires flexibility, as responsibilities may eventually extend to both civil and criminal case management. Spanish fluency is highly preferred, as many individuals who visit the courthouse are Spanish speakers.
The ideal candidate must be an efficient note-taker, possess strong organizational skills, and have a genuine interest in the civil and criminal justice system. Proficiency in multiple computer programs is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. This role involves significant phone communication and in-person interaction with the public, requiring excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Daily tasks will vary but may include processing dismissals, new cases, service filings, default applications, evictions, and other civil matters. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where attention to detail and efficiency are key. Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and two years of customer service and / or office experience; OR any combination of education and / or experience as approved by Human Resources. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Selection Procedure
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated / scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments / testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application. Failure to maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination. The County requires pre-employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history. A prior criminal conviction will not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment with the County. Must be able to pass knowledge-based test at 6 months and 1 year after training. Physical and sensory abilities will be determined by position. Working conditions will be determined by the position.
