Job Summary
The RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care through assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. This role involves coordinating quality care in alignment with established protocols and provider orders while working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Essential Functions
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following organizational standards and protocols.Conduct thorough assessments and document findings accurately.Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and document care methods.Assist during medical procedures based on skill competency.Collaborate to create individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.Act in medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as required.Advocate for patients' rights and needs in care planning and delivery.Educate patients and families regarding treatment and post-discharge care.Implement infection control practices to maintain patient safety.Manage medical equipment essential to patient care.Participate in audits and compliance checks for quality assurance.Document patient care efficiently in medical records.Engage in professional development to enhance nursing practices.Contribute to performance improvement initiatives in patient care.Specifically for NICU RNs :Monitor vital signs and manage distress signals.Administer prescribed treatments, including respiratory support.Support feeding requirements, ensuring adequate nutrition.Provide basic care for neonates, including hygiene and positioning.Perform necessary procedures with specialized medical equipment.Qualifications
0-2 years of nursing experience or clinical rotations in an acute care setting are required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of nursing practices and the patient care process.Effective assessment and communication skills.Proficient in medication administration and monitoring.Collaboration and interpersonal skills with interdisciplinary teams.Attention to detail in patient care documentation.Knowledge of safety standards and quality initiatives.Licenses and Certifications
