Location : Worcester, MA (must be based in central Massachusetts; regional travel required)
Compensation : $150,000–$170,000 annually

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize the performance of multiple dental practices within our organization. This position is ideal for a dynamic and strategic leader with a proven background in dental operations management —other healthcare or non-dental industry backgrounds will not be considered.
The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of practice performance, financial management, and team leadership. This individual will work closely with practice managers, clinical teams, and the executive leadership group to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth. The marketing team reports directly into this role, requiring both management experience and a foundational understanding of dental marketing and patient acquisition strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee operations across multiple dental practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and clinical standards.
- Directly supervise and develop Practice Managers and regional support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including production, collections, new patient growth, and expense ratios.
- Review and interpret profit and loss (P&L) statements , implementing data-driven strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Partner with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
- Provide strategic oversight of marketing initiatives , including local and regional campaigns to drive patient growth and retention.
- Implement and maintain operational best practices to improve patient experience and team engagement.
- Conduct regular practice visits to assess operations, coach teams, and ensure consistent execution of company policies.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Must have prior dental operations management experience (no exceptions).Proven success overseeing multiple dental practices or large single-site operations.Minimum of 5 years in a senior dental management or director-level operations role.Strong understanding of KPI management, P&L analysis, and financial performance optimization .Experience managing cross-functional teams, including marketing and practice leadership.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Must currently reside in Massachusetts .Ability to travel regionally as required.Compensation & Benefits
