Description :

This position involves working in a hospitalist unit specializing in general medicine.

The nurse will manage patients with pulmonary and related medical conditions.

The average patient ratio is 1 : 5, with a goal of 1 : 4.

All travelers may be required to float to other units as needed.

The unit can accommodate ventilated patients and has specific capabilities for managing chronic tracheostomy care.

Responsibilities include the management of various IV drips and blood product administration.

Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams, and telemetry monitoring.

The facility has interdisciplinary support available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.

Travelers are expected to work holidays as part of their assignment.

Candidates should be prepared for a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics.
