Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for night shifts with at least 2 years of experience, covering a wide patient age range and a high-volume, fast-paced CT department.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital-based CT department
  • Night shifts are 5x8 hours from 23 : 30 to 07 : 30, with occasional 14 : 30 to 23 : 00 shifts
  • Every other weekend coverage is required
  • Unit has 2 Canon CT scanners (64 and 320 slice)
  • Department handles neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
  • Tech assistant support available with at least 2 CT Techs per shift preferred
  • Uses EPIC charting system
  • Candidates will float within the hospital based on census
  • Duties include performing complex CT imaging studies such as vascular, trauma, brain perfusion, and 3D rendering
  • Responsible for radiation safety and preparation / administration of IV contrast
  • Scrubs of any type may be worn
  • Modules must be completed pre-start and during orientation
  • First-time travelers are accepted with 2 years of experience
  • RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and be 5 days or less
  • Locals accepted
  • Previous permanent staff are not eligible for this position

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CT Tech experience required
  • BLS and ARRT (R) certifications required
  • Venipuncture License required if applicable
  • Experience with adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, Emergency Department, and outpatient settings
  • Experience operating Canon / Toshiba CT equipment and performing a variety of contrast / non-contrast studies
  • Must be skilled in starting peripheral IVs and administration of contrast media
  • CA license required in hand for consideration
  • Experience with Level II Trauma patients
  • Experience using EPIC EMR preferred
