Description : Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer plays a pivotal supervisory role within the Facilities and Housekeeping department, reporting directly to the Clubhouse Manager. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of building and pool maintenance, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests. The Engineer will lead maintenance and housekeeping staff, oversee work assignments, and drive continuous improvement in operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion the MVCC Vision & Mission and embody core values in daily operations.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to maintenance and housekeeping teams, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of assignments.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and boilers.
  • Oversee and execute repairs and replacements for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting needs across all club facilities.
  • Maintain pool cleanliness and chemical balance daily, ensuring compliance with city regulations; must hold a valid pool certification from the City of Fort Worth.
  • Enforce safe working conditions and provide ongoing training on equipment use and maintenance procedures.
  • Communicate proactively with department leaders regarding repairs and maintenance impacting their areas.
  • Organize, prioritize, and track all property repairs, maintaining an up-to-date preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Lead improvement projects to enhance facility standards and member satisfaction.

Requirements :

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in building maintenance and improvement.
  • Proficiency in operating trucks and light motorized equipment.
  • Strong understanding of building maintenance equipment and systems.
  • Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for up to 4 hours, stand and climb for up to 8 hours, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent talking and interaction with staff and members.
  • Operation of various maintenance equipment as needed.
  • Education & Experience

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in building maintenance.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Pool certification by the City of Fort Worth required.
