Must-Have :

• Ability to work with all populations and ages, including neonatal.

Description :

Department : Respiratory Therapy.

Certification requirements include BLS, ACLS, NRP, RRT or CRT, and state license.

No clinical involvement is required.

One respiratory therapist is typically staffed per shift.

The patient population ranges from neonatal to geriatric.

Covers all areas of the hospital.

Job duties include assistance with mechanical deliveries and complicated neonatal deliveries or C-section cases.

Responsibilities include routine respiratory treatments on the medical-surgical floor and assistance with EKGs.

Ventilated patients are typically transferred out.

The facility handles a trauma center, stroke cases, and trauma stabilization until patient transfer.

The emergency department sees an average of 60+ patients a day and delivers around 58 babies monthly.

The traveler will sometimes be the only respiratory therapist in-house.

Equipment includes Airvo, PB 840 Vent, PB 980 Vent, LVT 1200 portable vent, Hamilton G-5, V-60 Respironics, and BirdBlenders.

The schedule consists of 3x12s from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with call.

Rotating weekends and every other holiday are required.

There is a 12-hour call requirement after shifts worked.

Three 12-hour shifts of department-specific orientation will be provided.

Scrubs are green, with flexibility for any color on Fridays.

Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius.

Additional time off requests will not be approved.

Cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of up to 4 shifts for assignments that are 13 weeks long.

Charting system is Meditech.

This is a care setting focusing on acute division responsibilities.

Shifts are during the day, with required certifications including ACLS, BLS, CRT verification, NRP, and RRT verification.
