Primary Responsibilities :
- Review and interpret reports from the field (e.g. concrete, soils, asphalt testing reports), communicating directly with client, senior PM, and field staff to relay key project info and data
- Interpret construction documents (plans and specs), as well as other various technical specifications and relay pertinent information to field technicians, clients, and senior project manager
- Regularly assist in solving problems encountered by technicians in the field, delegate tasks, and provide training when necessary
- Manage and perform in-house laboratory testing efforts and subsequent data related to soils, concrete, and asphalt (typically per ASTM or PennDOT specs)
- Helping to prepare and send out the daily schedule of technicians’ assignments for the following day
- Prepare, review, and send documentation of field activities, observations, and testing on construction projects, and their conformance with (or deviation from) project plans and specifications
- Occasionally perform site visits for meetings and to perform testing or train technicians.
- Developing and maintaining a local client base, including occasionally soliciting new work and / or clients.
- Prepare and submit bids / proposals, attend pre-bid meetings, and interact with clients
- Working hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.

P.E.s, E.I.T.s, PMPs, and MPMs ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY, but professional licensure or certification is not a requirement for this position
Prior construction or engineering experience is strongly preferredCandidate must be dependable, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and a team player who is capable of working in a fast-paced environmentBe able to interpret project plans, drawings and specifications, anticipate construction issues and recommend solutionsProvide written documentation of construction observations and materialsMaintain accurate construction recordsHave good math, written, and oral communication skillsBe able to manage own time with little supervisionQualifications and certifications :
Ideal candidates will have :
NECEPT bituminous and concreteACI concrete fieldNICET Level 2 or higher in Highway Construction or Construction Materials TestingDegree in Engineering, construction management or related field preferred.Proficiency with computers, office productivity software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookOur company is an equal opportunity employer.
