ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As an AI and Data Science advisor, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Office of Information Technology and Data Innovation (ITDI).
What you will do :
Serve as AI and Data Science Expert :
- Advise senior leadership and stakeholders on data strategy and innovative approaches to leveraging data science across agency program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead project management for data innovation initiatives, providing evaluation, assessment, and technical expertise to enhance program development, support data analysis efforts, and drive cross-agency collaboration.
Analyze and interpret complex data :
Analyze and interpret complex internal and programmatic data to uncover actionable insights, informing ARPA-H leadership on opportunities to enhance agency-wide data strategy and innovation initiatives.Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to evaluate data innovation projects, supporting program development and optimizing cross-agency data utilization efforts.Advise Business Development and Strategic Implementation :
Advise on the design and execution of business development strategies, incorporating effective capture processes to identify and secure opportunities that align with ARPA-H's data innovation objectives.Stay current with scientific advancements :
Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.Collaborate effectively within a diverse team :
Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.Salary Range : $100,000 - $180,000
