New Business Developer
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven New Business Developer to grow our commercial janitorial services portfolio in the Southeast U.S. This role focuses on identifying, prospecting, and closing new commercial clients with a focus on the distribution, logistics, and warehouse verticals. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable with cold outreach, and skilled at building long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new commercial janitorial service opportunities
- Prospect through cold calling, door-to-door visits, networking, and referrals
- Schedule and conduct site walk-throughs and needs assessments
- Prepare and present customized service proposals and bids
- Negotiate contracts and close new business
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding of new clients
- Ensure smooth handoff to operations after contract signing
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity in CRM or tracking system
- Build long-term relationships to support renewals and upsell opportunities
Market & Lead Generation
- Research target markets and industries
- Identify decision-makers (property managers, facility managers, business owners)
- Attend networking events and industry meetings as needed
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support growth initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account acquisition
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable with cold calling and face-to-face prospecting
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Overnight travel requirements of approximately 50%
- 5 plus years of proven sales experience
Preferred
- Experience selling janitorial, commercial cleaning, or facility services
- Knowledge of commercial buildings and service contracts
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Local market knowledge

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary + commission (based on new contracts sold) - Expected full year compensation range 200K+
