Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment. Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, checking for any unusual activity or potential threats. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and / or customers. Document observations, incidents, and activities thoroughly and accurately in daily reports and logs. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or critical situations. Follow all protocols for the handling, use, and storage of assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies. Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience. CPR certification is preferred. Armed guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
