Job description

Are you an Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina? This position near Jamesville offers a rewarding opportunity to provide care in a dynamic emergency setting.

Key Details :

  • Location : Near Jamesville, North Carolina
  • Start Date : January 6, 2025
  • Duration : 612 months with a minimum of two shifts per month
  • Shifts :

12-hour shifts

  • Options : 7 AM7 PM, 11 AM11 PM, or 7 PM7 AM
  • Patient Volume : Annual ED visits : 46,000; Average daily census : 124
  • Admission Rate : Approximately 13%
  • On-Site Support : 32.5 hours of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage daily

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Board-certified or board-eligible (up to five years post-graduation) in Emergency Medicine
  • Residency Training : ACGME-accredited program
  • Certifications :

    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

  • Board-certified physicians exempt from ACLS but must meet sedation requirements
  • Licensing : Willing to license; an active state license not required to apply
  • Experience with EMR Systems : Epic charting experience preferred

    • Privileges and Onboarding :

  • Expedited privileges available for candidates with a clean file, active license, DEA, and completed application.
  • Privileging timeframe : 6090 days; expedited process available for onboarding in two weeks if scheduled.
  • Orientation includes all billable hours and EMR training.
