Job Title
Under general supervision, this position provides maintenance and repair support for water distribution / wastewater collection / stormwater operations.
Posted pay range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience.
Examples Of Duties
- Provides technical support in consultation with crew leaders on site plans, utility reviews, and locations; performs inspections; ensures an adequate supply of inventories of all parts and equipment.
- Transports equipment and sets up safety zones; instructs staff for job preparation; fixes problems and handles maintenance; cleans up tools, job sites, and safety equipment.
- Checks and maintains equipment, to include fueling; restocks inventory, parts, and supplies.
- Monitors completion of daily assignments.
- Assists crew leader with administrative duties.
Experience And Training
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.Two (2) years of experience as a utility services worker or in a similar position is required.Certificates And Licenses Required
Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain prior to employment.Water Class D license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).Wastewater Collection I license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).The City of Round Rock offers security for the present and the future through its benefit program.
