Must-Have : Working proficiency with required drips; post cardiac cath and post-angiogram experience

Description :

The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting.

The shift will be during the day, working 3 times a week for 12 hours each shift.

Weekday work is required, along with every other weekend.

There may be occasions where floating to like units is necessary.

The nurse will care for a patient ratio of 1 : 5, which may increase to 1 : 6 or 1 : 7 in certain situations, with support from licensed practical nurses.

The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.

Common patient diagnoses include cardiac conditions, unstable angina, and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) patients.

The unit has a mix of inpatient and observation patients, with a high turnover rate.

Experience with procedural sedation, telemetry, and the management of dysrhythmias is preferred.

The RN should have experience with procedures such as cardioversion, thoracentesis, and central line insertion.

Must have a positive attitude and willingness to be part of the team.
