GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Business Office Director, the Patient Account Rep II will act as a trusted advisor and educator on healthcare related inquiries, including but not limited to billing, payments, collections, and general account inquiries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide outstanding customer service, resolving patient inquiries and complaints.
Provides itemized billing information and documentation to patients upon request.
Help patients and their families to understand their statement, answer questions about their balances and facilitate payment options.
Accept and process credit card and ACH check payments by phone.
Prepare and submit global physician and research company claims timely and accurately.
Follow up on global physician and research accounts for timely payments.
Accurately document all communications.
Review patient balances to ensure accuracy and follow up with patients to obtain payment.
QUALIFICATION FOR THE JOB
Education :
Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience :
Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service in the medical field.
