Education and Experience Guidelines

Any combination of education and experience that likely provides the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Typically, this includes :

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and graduation from a P.O.S.T.-approved police academy.
• College coursework and specialized training in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related fields are highly desirable.
• An Associate's degree is highly desirable.
