Responsibilities
Oversee and manage Parts Counter-people and Parts DriversForecast and achieve departmental goals and objectivesManage balanced inventory for service, wholesale, and retail needs; adjust to maximize turnover and minimize obsolescenceSet pricing for each customer category to ensure profit while fostering customer loyaltySupervise stock orders, special orders, and tagging for factory credit recoveryAnalyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to meet profit goals; develop a profitable wholesale parts programMaintain high-quality service for both external and internal customersCollaborate with the service manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts for all jobsHold department meetings, attend manager meetings, and optimize departmental operationsProvide technical support and coordinate paperwork, shipping, and receiving for the Parts DepartmentManage payroll records for parts department employeesCreate and upkeep schedule for Parts Department staffHire, train, and evaluate Parts Department staffDevelop sales promotions, utilize co-op advertising, and follow incentive programsHandle customer complaints promptly to ensure satisfactionSupport collections of past-due accounts and assist with accounting processesEnforce safety requirements, including Hazmat & OSHA compliance and processing MSDS sheets on all productsStay updated and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts salesQualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience with auto parts sales preferredStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeMust have a clean driving record and hold a valid driver's licenseMust be willing and able to submit to a Background Check and Drug ScreenJ-18808-Ljbffr
