Location : Hybrid (Connecticut-based)
Compensation : $75,000 – $85,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Schedule : Full-Time, Flexible Hours

Position Overview
The Administrative / HR Manager plays a critical leadership role within NEFR’s growing executive team. This individual oversees human resources operations, manages key administrative workflows, and supports both leadership and field staff to ensure efficient, compliant, and people-centered processes. This is a hybrid position with flexibility for remote and in-office work based on organizational needs.
This role offers the opportunity for executive-level growth, working closely with senior leadership to influence company culture, develop policies, and shape strategic initiatives as NEFR continues its statewide expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HR operations including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Maintain and refine company policies, handbooks, and HR documentation in partnership with leadership and legal counsel.
- Support payroll and benefits administration in coordination with accounting and executive management.
- Manage recruitment efforts — posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and overseeing new hire orientation.
- Serve as the liaison between staff and leadership to ensure strong communication, support, and accountability across all divisions.
- Coordinate training and credential tracking in collaboration with the Education and Compliance team.
- Maintain HR systems (ADP Workforce Now or similar), ensuring accurate personnel files and reporting.
- Assist with executive-level projects, strategic planning, and company-wide initiatives that enhance culture, retention, and operational excellence.
- Lead and support team members through clear communication, mentorship, and empowerment, ensuring alignment with company values and objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in administrative management or HR leadership roles.Strong understanding of HR compliance, employment laws, and personnel management best practices.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Experience with HRIS systems (preferably ADP Workforce Now) and Microsoft Office Suite.A proactive, adaptable leader with high emotional intelligence and a passion for helping others succeed.Preferred Qualifications
