This Server Engineer position will be located in the Howmet Engines Shared services department and involves working in a close cross-functional team environment supporting Howmets IT Infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to :

Windows Server OS hardware and software implementation and lifecycle management.

Providing input to architectural design changes and long-term strategic deployments.

Windows Server OS configuration and hardening.

Active Directory Administration, migrations, and compliance reporting.

Remain current on best practices and technological advancements and act as a technical resource for compliance.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in computer related discipline. 9 years of related work experience can be used in lieu of the BS Degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the administration of Windows Server, Active Directory and all underlying services.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In depth knowledge of virtualization technologies (example : VMWare, Hyper V)

In depth knowledge of Storage technologies and connectivity standards.

Working knowledge and experience working with various scripting languages, including PowerShell and JavaScript.

In depth knowledge of Information technology systems and processes, network infrastructure, data architecture, data processes, and protocols.

Working knowledge Business continuity and disaster recovery development and testing.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical and Organizational skills.

Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.
