Experience designing complex progressive dies required. SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience preferred. Participation in die design reviews, DFM, prototyping and development activities are routine. Cost estimating experience a plus.

Essential Job Functions :

• Designs progressive dies, tools, fixtures, and gages per customer specifications, and / or in accordance with Lyons Standards.
• Produces detailed drawings, specifications, and component lists.
• Provides strip layouts and assembly drawings to customers for external design reviews, as required.
• Issues engineering drawings upon completion of the design.
• Updates engineering drawings per Toolmaker’s notes and mark-ups, if any, upon completion of build.
• Solicits quotations for all components associated with the build of the tool.
• Generates bills of material for raw materials and purchased components.
