Key Responsibilities

Accurately abstracts data elements as required

Stays current on changes in coding conventions and regulatory guidelines

Thoroughly reviews patient encounters for compliant coding and collaborates with relevant departments

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

2-5 years of experience in coding

No supervisory experience required

Certification in area of expertise (CCS, RHIA, or RHIT)
