Geotechnical Driller

We are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Driller (Geohazard Mitigation Technician Level 3, GMT3) to join our team. As a GMT3 working for GSI, there is no typical day and the scenery changes often. You will be working outside with your hands in a wide variety of climates. On one project you may be working on a slope installing a retaining wall and the next project you could be stabilizing a bridge. This is the perfect career for someone that does not want to work in a traditional setting like a warehouse or office.

Responsibilities

• Operate rock drills (Cammachio, KIemm, Casagrande, Fraste)
• Mix, spray, run hoses, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps
• Operate construction equipment such as excavator, all terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front end loaders
• Reading and determining measurements
• Maintain a clean and organized construction site
• Work together in a team environment

Travel : 100% travelling in the Western US. Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.

Pay : $23 / hr - $27 / hr. In 2024, with overtime, employees in this job made the equivalent of nearly $34 / hr.
