Med / Surg RN Job Details Job Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Location : McKeesport, PA 15132 (Greater Pittsburgh area) Assignment Type : Travel Nurse Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour day shifts Shifts per Week : 3 Hours per Week : 36 Healthcare Setting : On-site hospital Start Date : December 8, 2025 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1740-$1860 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required prior to first shift ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required prior to first shift Minimum 1 year of clinical bedside experience in medical-surgical nursing (2 years preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission Develop and implement individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct clinical support Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission Communicate changes in patient status to healthcare team members for continuity and safety Supervise and direct Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and safety procedures Foster a positive and efficient work environment through teamwork and leadership Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education Ready to take your nursing career to the next level in McKeesport, Pennsylvania?
