Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Cath Lab position requiring PA or compact license, with at least 2 years of experience and EPIC proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the Cath Lab / invasive cardiology department with 3 procedural labs and a 12-bed prep and recovery area
  • Performs cardiac cath, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular procedures including complex interventions using Impella and ECMO
  • EP procedures include cardioversions, device implants, and ablations for various rhythm issues
  • Works alongside a team of invasive cardiologists, electrophysiologists, RNs, and technologists
  • Day shift with four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with a variable weekday off
  • On-call required as needed by the unit
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidays, no time off approved between Christmas and New Year's
  • May provide care for COVID patients
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a growing invasive cardiology unit with surgical backup
  • The department is expanding into structural heart procedures
  • Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel pay eligibility; local candidates considered at a lower rate
  • Travel pairs accepted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed
  • Required to minimize requested time off to no more than 7 days during the assignment

    • Requirements

  • Active PA RN or compact state RN license with no license hits
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Ability to complete pre-start modules prior to assignment
  • Must not use tobacco or fragrance products while on facility premises
