GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Perform a variety of daily teller functions. Provide timely, courteous information to customers and bank personnel. Assist Head Teller in recognizing irregular suspicious transactions by demonstrating initiative, good judgment, care and alertness to detail.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. ALWAYS be friendly and courteous to the customer and assist them in any way you can.

2. Assume the responsibility of maintaining and balancing cash in cash drawer.

3. Receive commercial and individual checking deposits; verify cash and endorsement, and issue receipts.

4. Accept checks for cashing or paying, verify endorsement.

5. Receive savings deposits; pay withdrawals after verifying balance and signature.

6. Receive loan payments, check due dates and assess late charges when applicable.

7. Accept requests for purchase of U. S. Savings Bonds and redeems bonds.

8. Issue cashiers checks, credit card cash advances and other products that may be offered by the bank.

9. Always keep cash secure and maintain a high level of safety for the bank.

10. Maintain proper level of cash in the drawer.

11. Process incoming mail deposits, TT& L payments, and transfers.

12. Count and roll loose coins for customers.

13. Back up responsibilities for vault custodian in their absence.

14. Perform back up duties for the ATM custodian in their absence.

15. Assist customers when entering safe deposit box area.

16. Back up responsibilities for maintaining updated safe deposit box contracts and night depository contacts.

17. Participate in dual control of night depository duties.

18. Perform any other duties as requested.

19. Issue cashiers checks, credit card cash advances and other products that may be offered by the bank.

20. Accept stop payment requests, check reorders, and address changes & distribute to proper personnel for processing.
