The Coding Client Delivery Director is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of Healthrise’s coding and midcycle services, ensuring excellence in client delivery, team performance, and operational outcomes. This leader serves as the primary strategic and operational contact for assigned clients, driving performance against SLAs, leading new client implementations, and maintaining strong relationships with executive stakeholders, including CFOs, revenue cycle VPs, and operational and finance leaders.
This role requires a combination of strategic vision, operational expertise, and people leadership, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to expand client engagements, optimize performance, and deliver scalable value across a global delivery framework.
Responsibilities
Client & Project Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery for all coding engagements (hospital inpatient, outpatient, pro-fee, and audit projects).
- Serve as the primary escalation point for client communication, ensuring strong partnership, clear updates, and issue resolution.
- Oversee new client implementations, including workflow setup, system configuration, and relationship development.
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting and support client and internal audit requests as needed.
Performance & Operational Oversight
Own accountability for productivity, quality, and turnaround time targets across all assigned projects.Monitor daily dashboards and reports to identify performance trends and proactively address issues.Drive utilization and capacity management across domestic and global teams.Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Lead to close feedback loops between audits and production.Conduct performance reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.People Leadership
Provide direct oversight and mentorship to all coding operations staff.Create a high-performing culture through coaching, structured feedback, and recognition.Partner with HR and Training teams on resource ramp-up, competency assessment, and career pathing.Identify and develop high-potential talent to support organizational growth.Innovation & Growth
Partner with Analytics, Technology, and QA teams to identify and implement automation, AI, and workflow optimization.Support the development and launch of new service lines in the midcycle space.Collaborate with Business Development to build client case studies, success stories, and expansion proposals.Continuously seek opportunities to enhance client value and expand scope within existing partnerships.Requirements : Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent.Minimum of five years of experience in medical coding, with at least three years in a management role.Proficiency in the Epic EMR system.Strong knowledge of coding regulations, guidelines, and compliance standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and implement strategic improvements.Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality in coding operations.Willingness to travel for key client or vendor meetings as needed.Physical Demands and Work Environment
