Overview
A client of mine is seeking a licensed and skilled Massage Therapist to join their team. The ideal candidate is passionate about wellness, knowledgeable in a variety of massage techniques, and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience. This role is focused on improving clients health, relaxation, and overall well-being through therapeutic bodywork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage services including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, sports, and specialty techniques (depending on training / certifications).
- Evaluate clients needs and tailor massage sessions to meet therapeutic goals.
- Maintain accurate client treatment records and update health history forms.
- Educate clients on wellness practices, stretching, posture, and follow-up care.
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and stocked according to company standards.
- Comply with state licensing laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Promote spa / clinic services and wellness packages to encourage repeat clients.
- Collaborate with other team members (esthetician, physical therapist, etc.) to provide holistic care.
Qualifications
Valid state Massage Therapy License (required).Graduation from an accredited massage therapy program.Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications of massage.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused attitude.Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards.Previous spa / clinic experience preferred but not required.Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and set up massage equipment as needed.Compensation & Benefits
