8E PCU - Cohort 10
Job Summary : Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Position hours are three (3) 12-hour shifts from 6 : 45 p.m. to 7 : 15 a.m. Rotating based on unit need. No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.
Department Summary : We care for adult patients ranging in age 18 years and older who are being treated for a variety of cardiac conditions, including recovery from coronary artery bypass surgery, valve repair and replacement surgery, heart failure, heart transplant, myocardial infarction, heart arrhythmias, and cardiac post-procedural care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assists with day-to-day delivery of patient care.
- Facilitates efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
- Serves as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
- Supports unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.
